Mohair naturally tends to pill and shed fibers. This is a natural characteristic of the fiber and not a defect.
We recommend shaking the garment out thoroughly and repeatedly, including the inside. This removes loose fibers that were created during the processing of the wool and the sewing process.
If you shake the garment out before and after each wear, the amount of pilling and loose fibers should decrease over time.
Alternatively, you can place the knitted garment in a plastic bag and keep it in the freezer for at least 48 hours. This can help to set the fibers and reduce shedding.
